Another part of your over night experience could include our ROV class.
Sub Tech Class
Participants will learn the physics of buoyancy and balance through several hands-on activities in our Underwater Submersible ROV class. The class will also teach about remotely operated vehicles. Students, in groups construct ROVs and test them in our water tanks. A minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 30 participants may enroll in a class. By the end, the students will have a much greater appreciation of how submarines swim and how a submarine crew is truly a team working together!
The basic class is $10.00 per participant. Usually it is just the students, and sometimes siblings, who participate in the class. Adults are certainly welcome to be in the room watching, encouraging, taking pictures, etc. but they are not usually paid participants in the class.
Groups must pre-register and pre-pay prior to the date of stay. The age range is from Kindergarten to Adult. Classes take place at 4pm on the date of your arrival. If your group schedules a class, participants need to arrive by 4pm. Latecomers will miss part of the class.
