Children’s Group Classes

We offer classes for school-aged children (5-18) with a focus on history and STEM. Topics can range from Remote-Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to Black history. These classes are administered by experts and educators, and can be arranged in conjunction with overnight encampments.

Additional guidelines for class participation:

  • Adults are welcome to stay on the premises to take photos or supervise, but are not required to pay the class fee.
  • When combining classes with an overnight stay, classes generally take place at 4pm on the day of arrival, and cannot take place on the day of departure.
  • For most classes, a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 20 participants may enroll.

Available Classes include ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Class

Participants will learn the physics of buoyancy and balance through several hands-on activities in our Underwater Submersible ROV class.  The class will also teach about remotely operated vehicles. Students, in groups construct ROVs and test them in our water tanks.  By the end, the students will have a much greater appreciation of how submarines swim and how a submarine crew is truly a team working together.
