- A minimum of 20 participants per group are required to book an overnight stay
- Overnight encampments are open to anyone over the age of 5.

- The total number of participants in your group must be finalized 60 days prior to the date of your actual stay. You can add extra participants after this date if availability remains. You must call in advance of your stay to add extra participants in order to ensure that enough space remains aboard the vessels.
- A $200.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due within 10 days of booking your reservation.
- The final deposit for your overnight encampment is due 60 days (or 30 if booked within 60) prior to the date of your actual stay. The final deposit consists of the total number of participants multiplied by the overnight rate less your $200 deposit. There are no refunds or exchanges for “no shows.”

find a night where your group can be added to a night with guests already attending. This is how

- The cost depends on what day you are coming. On weekends (Friday-Sunday) the cost is
$40 a person. On weekdays (Monday-Thursday) the price is $35 a person.

- The program typically starts with our overnight coordinator explaining the rules of the
evening, followed by a virtual tour of the sub in our theater. Guests will then be brought outside
to tour the USS Silversides and the US Coast Guard Cutter McLane. All guests receive a
certificate acknowledging their stay. A ROV submarine class is available for addition payment.

- What is the ROV Class?
- The ROV class is a science class run by our overnight staff that teaches kids about
buoyancy and submarines. The participants will have the opportunity to build their own
submersible vehicles and try to perform certain tasks within our large tanks of water. This gives
the kids a small scale idea of how submarines work and the science behind buoyancy.

- We request that guests arrive around 6pm (4pm if they are taking an ROV class). We
want to ensure that our guests have enough time to get through all planned activities. The
program concludes the next morning at 9am.

- Guests may choose a few different options for food. The most popular option is ordering
pizza. We can handle all of the ordering and delivery, we just need to know what the guests
would like. Some groups choose to eat food on the way. Another option is bringing food or
cooking yourselves. We have plenty of space outside where groups can bring grills or use our
fire pits to cook something for themselves. Or just bringing some food in coolers is also popular
(we do have a refrigerator if needed). Outside of dinner the groups will have access to our gift
shop where we sell lots of different snacks. We request dinner concludes by 7:30pm to ensure we
have time to finish the program activities.

- Inside the submarine there is very little privacy. Every inch of the sub had its purpose,
this meant that things were very tightly packed and there was not a lot of space for privacy.

- There will be at least two staff members present for your overnight programming. When
the program is over and the group heads into their respective vessel for lights out, a staff security
person will come in and be available all night. Please remember that our staff is here to lead your
programming and guide you through our museum. They are not responsible for child care and
discipline. That is the job of the adult chaperones
