Get ready to swing and sway to the infectious rhythms of big band classics or try your hand at jitterbug on the dance floor! Wear your snazziest 1940s outfit and boogie on down to the USS Silversides Submarine Museum for our inaugural Victory Gala.
About the Inaugural Victory Gala:
The theme for our first Victory Gala is a 1940s USO-style celebration, an era synonymous with resilience, patriotism, and community spirit. This theme is particularly significant for the USS Silversides, as it allows us to transport you back to a pivotal period in history, honoring the brave men and women who served our nation during World War II. It is through events like this that we keep the stories of valor and sacrifice alive.
The evening will feature music reminiscent of the USO shows that boosted the morale of troops, delicious cuisine inspired by the era, raffles, unique silent auction items, and so much more! You are encouraged to dress in 1940s attire to fully immerse themselves in the experience and contribute to the atmosphere of the event!
Your support and presence at the Victory Gala will directly impact our mission by allowing us to expand educational programs, enhance exhibits, and ensure that future generations understand and appreciate the profound impact World War II, USS Silversides and her crew had on our nation and the entire world.
